John Wood, is of Counsel to the Firm. John has been an attorney in Maryland for over 47 years. He came out of law school in 1969, in May, and passed the bar and was sworn into the Bar of the State of Maryland in December of that same year, along with four other African Americans. The five of them passed the bar in that year was a big deal in those days. In fact, it was such a big deal that it made the front page of The Afro. The other four who passed the bar were Arrie W. Davis, William H. Murphy Jr., David B. Allen, and Chief Judge Robert Bell. John advises the firm regarding civil rights issues and other matters.
